9th International PhD Students Conference
Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, 7th-9th October 2025

About the Conference

The 9th edition of the International PhD Students Conference at the Nencki Institute will explore a broad spectrum of interdisciplinary topics in biology with a focus on advancing our understanding of both animal and human physiology and pathology.
Presentations will span all major levels of techniques, from molecular, subcellular, cellular to whole organism, providing a comprehensive overview of the field. It will be an invaluable experience for emerging researchers, fostering career development and strengthening global scientific collaboration.
The conference is supported by the EMERALD: European Molecular Biology Laboratory and Nencki Research Alliance for Life Science Discoveries. EMERALD is an initiative that aims to strengthen connections between the broader EMBL and EMBO scientific community and the Polish life science community, particularly in the field of molecular biology.
The conference is co-financed by the European Social Development Fund 2021–2027 (ESF) as part of the NAWA project ‘Support for higher education and research institutions in serving foreigners and Poles going abroad’ (project no.: FERS.01.05.IP.08-0003/24).
This event is organised by Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology PAS, Warsaw PhD School in Natural and BioMedical Sciences and the Committee on Neurobiology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. We are moreover proudly supported by the Bureau of Science Promotion at Polish Academy of Sciences, Poland (UiPDN PAN, Polska), grant number 316/2024.
